In the middle of the wall is an old traditional static wooden pole. On the left of the shop was an electric rotating pole that was unlit and on the right hand side a matching electric pole. This second electric pole was not rotating, so not clear whether it is broken or simply not switched on.
The barber shop is located at 79 Skinnergate in the oldest part of Darlington town centre.
