Esta fuente es un tres por uno, por un lado tenemos una fuente de agua no potable por la parte de atras de las esculturas, dos pequeños chorros salen de sus extremos y llenan la pila trasera de la fuente. Por otro lado tenemos una fuente de agua potable por la parte delantera y por último una escultura a escla de los tres gigantes que sacan en procesión en las fiestas del municipio, los llamados "gegants" en catalán.

"Para conmemorar la distinción de Hostalric como Vila Gegantera 2009, se hizo una escultura que representa a los gigantes Ramón Berenguer II “Cap d'Estopa”, Mafalda de Pulla-Calàbria y Mosén Pere Xifra, que están colocadas sobre la fuente de la Plaça de la Vila, lugar de concentración habitual de la colla gegantera, la agrupación de personas que portan a los gigantes en los pasacalles y las fiestas mayores."
