"The church of San Esteban de la Costa del Montseny is located in the municipality of Fogars de Montclús, in the Vallès Oriental. Although it has been documented as a parish seat since the 9th century, the current medieval remains date from a construction from the 12th century. The Romanesque remains are present in the building in the area of ??the chancel and the central nave, although its appearance is greatly altered by later additions and restorations. In the 17th century, side chapels with pointed vaults were added, and construction also began the square bell tower with a pyramidal roof, which has its access through an external arch in the building.

In 1680 a communidor (esconjuradero) was built which gave the building a very particular appearance. In the 18th century, more specifically in 1758, the Sacristy was added, which caused the partial destruction of one of the 12th century side apses. The headboard lacks exterior decoration. Inside, the appearance of the building is manifested in a very eclectic way, where the apse and the pointed vault of the central nave, currently whitewashed, stand out. Also noteworthy is the alabaster carving of the Virgin of the Angels from the beginning of the 14th century, as well as the baptismal sink from the 16th century."
