"Santa Seclina is an isolated church located on a slope of the Puig Ventós that gives its name to a population entity in the municipality of Caldes de Malavella (Selva). The religious building is a work included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

It is a building with a single rectangular nave and a semicircular apse. Attached there is a rectory house with two defensive towers, with a conical dome and a snout below. On the right side there is a cemetery. On the left side, there is a bell tower of disproportionate dimensions in relation to the church, with a square base although approximately in the middle it takes an octagonal shape, with four semicircular arch openings and, covered by a small dome with a stone balustrade. artificial and a lightning rod. There are two small townhouses that inside become chapels. It has a façade decorated in a baroque and neoclassical style. Flat arch doorway with stone lintel and jambs. The doorway is flanked by two artificial stone pilasters on each side, above, a molded cornice separates the pilasters from a triangular pediment. Above the door is a niche with ceramics and a small molded rosette. Part of the church is surrounded by a rather old rustic stone wall enclosure. The complex is in a state of abandonment, very damaged.

There are references to the church as a rural parish since the 13th century. Part of the nave wall and the apse surely belong to this period. Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries the bell tower, the portal and probably the interior chapels were renovated and built.

The Catalan troubadour Cerverí de Girona mentions the place in his 13th century pastorela "Entre Caldes e Penedes".

Santa Seclina is located in the place where the royal road from Palamós to Vidreres and Barcelona separated from the royal road that linked Girona and Llagostera with Tossa. It is also a stopover for the itinerary that follows the Pilgrim's Way of Tossa on its annual pilgrimage to Santa Coloma de Farners."
