Sadat station serves the very center of the massive city of Cairo: the Tahrir square. It's a central station, where two lines crosses, the 1 and the 2. Due to its strategic position it has been shutdown by the authorities whenever the situation in the capital of Egypt gets tense. It was closed from 2015 to 2017 and again from 2021 to 2023.
