EN: This wooden cross is located in the north of Todtmoos on a side road.

The cross is around four meters high and has a wooden protective wall behind the upper part as well as a roof with a small hip. The figure of Jesus and the INRI sign are also made of wood.

There are many plants and a candle at the base. The sign at the foot of the cross marks the "Path of Reflection and Encounter", an ancient pilgrimage route from Bernau to Todtmoos, which was reactivated in 2002. The cross is apparently one of the 14 stations and therefore probably also from that year, but it is not dated.

(And yes, the cow in the background is made of fiberglass...)

DE: Dieses Holzkreuz steht im Norden von Todtmoos an einer Nebenstrasse.

Das Kreuz ist rund vier Meter hoch und hat eine hölzerne Schutzwand hinter dem oberen Teil sowie ein Dach mit einem kleinen Walm. Auch die Jesus-Figur und das INRI-Schild sind aus Holz.

Am Fundament hat es viele Pflanzen und eine Kerze. Das Schild am Fuss des Kreuzes bezeichnet den "Weg der Besinnung und Begegnung", einen uralten Pilgerweg von Bernau nach Todtmoos, der 2002 wieder aktiviert wurde. Das Kreuz ist offenbar eine der 14 Stationen und deshalb wohl auch aus diesem Jahr, datiert ist es aber nicht.

(Und ja, die Kuh im Hintergrund ist aus Plastik...)
