At this spring, Sweden's first Christian King Oluf Skötkonung was baptized by the Missionary Sigfrid. However, this is a story that has been questioned. Among other things, whether it happened at another spring nearby, or whether the King was baptized in England. However, the spring is named after the Missionary Sigfrid, who should have performed the baptism.
The spring is located in a small facility which you find after going down a steep stone staircase. Around the spring there is a stone wall with a commemorative plaque with King Olav's carved signatures. (OSCAR 19 15/7 00). There are several other signatures in the stone wall from the royal family
A stone table is placed next to the spring.
The spring itself is covered by a wooden board which you can open and see the water
The spring, which is a sacrificial well, is surrounded by a stone vessel measuring is surrounded by a rectangular stone setting measuring 1.05x1m. The spring itself is 0.35 m deep.
Northeast of the spring, there is a stone tablet on the wall with the text: I KÄLLAN HÄR NEDANFÖR DØBET OMKRING ÅR 1000 OLOF SKÖTKONUNG PRIME CHRISTIAN KONGE AF SVERIGE AF DEN ENGELSK MISSIONÆR SIGFRID Joh. Ev.3:5 1882
