This vintage cinema was inaugurated in the 30's, designed by the French Max Edrei with the Armenian Garo Balyan and Victor Salama, so it's almost one hundred years old. It's located downtown Cairo, just off Talaat Harb street.
In the 80's the big hall was divided in two, one for movies and the other for theater.
Its activity as cinema ended on the turn to the 21st Century. It's now a somewhat hipster spot with several screens and other cultural activities.
