This dated building is located in Central Park on the north side of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. Built in 1863, the building was a pumphouse for the reservoir which was a water supply for New York City.

The reservoir has since been discontinued as a water supply source and the North Gate House was decommissioned in 1993. The dated stone is above the front door in what appears to be copper letters which have turned green.
Year of construction: 1864
