"The Alameda playground, located on Compostela Avenue, reopened yesterday after several months inactive due to the works of the comprehensive remodeling that the City Council decided and that involved, in a commitment to inclusivity, the incorporation of new play elements and the renewal of the pavement. It is a leisure space with notable activity and is one of those that has undergone the most renovations to adapt it to the new needs of children.

In this case, and after an investment of 300,000 euros, the park has adapted games built with natural elements, such as wood, which have been complemented with the renovation of the rubber pavement and fun games suitable for children with functional diversities.

The park, which was visited yesterday by the councilor of Parques e Xardíns, Xesús Domínguez (BNG), his predecessor in office, Mila Castro (PSdG-PSOE), and the PP councilors Olaya Otero and José Ramón de la Fuente, has game elements adapted for children from 3 to 12 years old and has a castle, a little house, carousel, hammock, zip line and balance games . According to the City Council, apart from having a fun time, enjoying this space, close to the Pío XII school, will also allow children to develop social skills, motor skills and creativity. It also highlights the possibility of socializing, promoting values ??of friendship and camaraderie in an inclusive way."
