This water intake tower was designed by architects Roth & Study and built in 1915. The tower was used to draw Mississippi River water into the St. Louis water department. The tower was built with living quarters for the crews who manned the tower.
The coordinates listed are for the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge the closest and best place to see this tower.
