"Het Oorlogsmuseum Overloon is een Nederlands historisch en educatief museum in de Noord-Brabantse plaats Overloon, dat zich vooral richt op de geschiedenis van de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Nederland. Tussen 2006 en 2013 trad het museum naar buiten onder de naam Liberty Park, daarvoor heette het Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum. Het museum schenkt vanaf dat moment ook meer aandacht aan regionale geschiedenis. Het museum is in Nederland het grootste in zijn soort en bestaat uit een bosachtig park met overdekt museum waarin voornamelijk de collecties van twee voormalige musea, het Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum en het Marshallmuseum (10.000 m²), gehuisvest zijn. Het museum werd in 1946 opgericht op basis van de resten van de Slag om Overloon, zoals tanks en kanonnen. Het museum ontvangt jaarlijks ongeveer 120.000 bezoekers.
Na de Slag om Overloon bleef op het slagveld een enorme hoeveelheid oorlogsmateriaal, waaronder tanks en andere voertuigen achter. Overloner Harry van Daal was zo geschokt door de gebeurtenissen dat hij voorstelde het slagveld intact te houden en er een museum van te maken. Op 25 mei 1946 werd het Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum geopend door de Britse generaal Whistler (1898-1963), de bevelhebber over de 11e Britse Pantserdivisie en de 3e Britse Infanteriedivisie die Overloon hadden veroverd. Het museumpark werd in 1946 geopend als Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum, vrijwel zonder gebouwen. In 2006 kwam daar de collectie van het Marshallmuseum uit Zwijndrecht bij met meer dan 200 militaire voer-, vaar- en vliegtuigen, waarvoor onder de naam Liberty Park een apart museum werd ingericht. Daarmee stelde het museum zowel de Tweede Wereldoorlog als het verkrijgen en beschermen van de vrijheid centraal."
