Only 3 km from Krakow is the natural area Skalki Twardowskiego. Several hiking trails lead to viewpoints. The view points over the lake are especially beautiful, but in other places there is a view over the city.
Skalki Twardowskiego has an area of 34 ha and is referred to as a natural paradise and recreation area for the citizens of Krakow.
The many hiking trails make it possible to go on both shorter and longer hikes, much of the trip is through forest.
A trip around the lake is about three kilometers. And it is especially the trip that offers the most beautiful views. At the northern part of the lake there is also an information board and the photo is from here.
The lake is not a natural lake, but a former limestone quarry which is now used both for swimming and diving.
