Situación
La Ermita de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios se encuentra a la salida de la localidad de Villafranca de Córdoba hacia el suroeste por la carretera CO-3103, en la provincia de Córdoba.
Historia
Edificio barroco del siglo XVIII dedicado a la patrona de la villa, construido entre 1701 y 1731 con los donativos de los vecinos.
Descripción
Su planta es de cruz latina, con brazos recortados, nave única dividida en tres tramos, y crucero cubierto por bóveda semiesférica sobre pechinas.
El primitivo camarín está cubierto por el retablo actual. En el exterior presenta dos portadas monumentales realizadas en jaspe gris, una en el muro del Evangelio, y la principal a los pies del edificio.

"Es una construcción iniciada en 1701 con los donativos del vecindario que no pudo concluirse hasta 1731.
Situada a un kilómetro de la villa, alberga la imagen de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios.
Se trata de un templo de cruz latina, muy típico del barroco de la época.
Merece especial atención la fachada de los pies, toda ella de magnífica sillería culminando en frontón abierto para alojar las espadañas. Su portada tiene pilastras cajeadas y fragmentos de frontón curvo, avenerado con volutas laterales.
Esta estructura se enriquece con vigorosos motivos vegetales característicos de principios de siglo XVIII.
También debemos destacar el vía crucis mariano, en azulejos, realizado en la alfarería de Santa Ana de Triana (Sevilla). Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, protectora de Villafranca es una imagen labrada por el artista bujalanceño Juan Martínez Cerrillo a principios de los años 40, que vino a sustituir a la primitiva, perdida en la Guerra Civil Española."

The Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios is located at the exit of the town of Villafranca de Córdoba towards the southwest on the CO-3103 highway, in the province of Córdoba.

Description
Its plan is a Latin cross, with cut-out arms, a single nave divided into three sections, and a transept covered by a hemispherical vault on pendentives.
The primitive dressing room is covered by the current altarpiece. On the outside it presents two monumental portals made of gray jasper, one on the Gospel wall, and the main one at the foot of the building.

It is a Latin cross temple, very typical of the baroque of the time.
The façade at the foot deserves special attention, all of it made of magnificent ashlar masonry culminating in an open pediment to house the belfries. Its façade has recessed pilasters and fragments of a curved pediment, decorated with lateral volutes.
This structure is enriched with vigorous plant motifs characteristic of the early 18th century.
We must also highlight the Marian Way of the Cross, in tiles, made in the Santa Ana de Triana pottery (Seville). "Our Lady of Remedies, protector of Villafranca is an image carved by the Bujalanceño artist Juan Martínez Cerrillo in the early 1940s, which replaced the original one, lost in the Spanish Civil War."
