The Bayman Statue stands as a tribute to the clammers of Long Island. The statue stands 7 feet high and is cast in quarter inch thick bronze. The bronze monument depicting a Bayman will preserve the memory of a once booming industry.

"The Bayman" is wearing waders, tongs and a 1970's mustache is designed to remind the public of an era when the Great South Bay was overflowing with clam beds.
"The Bayman" was unveiled on July 1st, 2018. The work by Sculptor Jose Fernandez of Ironhead Studios took three years from conception to finish.
The statue is surrounded with signs of historic facts about hundreds of years of clamming on Long Island.
