This small park (about two and a quarter acres) is at the northeast corner of Quaker and Independence. The park provides a large shelter, a children's play area, a basketball court, and enough lawn for tossing a ball or walking the dog. A large circular area marks where a fountain was constructed for a scene in the film "The Outsiders." That fountain was left behind by the film crew and later disassembled and moved to storage; there is talk that it might one day be restored on this site.
