EN: The Théâtre du Rond-Point is a municipal theater in the heart of Paris, just next tot the famous Champs-Elysées.

The building was created in 1860 and housed panoramas, 360-degree paintings of famous battles or exotic places. After panoramas came out of fashion, in 1893 it was remodeled into an ice skating rink with a dining area and live music, called Palais de Glace. This rink remained in operation until the late 1970.

In 1981 the building was remodeled again and became a theater. It became the new home of the theater company that was in the Orsay railway station before, that became a museum.

Today, the theater has 760 seats in the main hall, a smaller theater room and an exhibition space. There is also a restaurant, that was closed for some years after 2016, but has been reopened again.

The theater is dedicated to the works of living authors. The building is property of the city of Paris. The theater company is in parts supported by the city and the national Ministry of Culture.

En 1981, le bâtiment a été à nouveau rénové et transformé en théâtre. Il devient le nouveau siège de la compagnie théâtrale qui se trouvait auparavant dans la gare d'Orsay, devenue un musée.

Aujourd'hui, le théâtre compte 760 places dans la salle principale, une salle de théâtre plus petite et un espace d'exposition. Il y a également un restaurant, qui a été fermé pendant quelques années après 2016, mais qui a été rouvert.

Le théâtre est dédié aux œuvres d'auteurs vivants. Le bâtiment est la propriété de la ville de Paris. La compagnie théâtrale est en partie soutenue par la ville et le ministère national de la Culture.
