DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1975 (JCL) THE STATION IS THE APEX OF VENT ATOP THE JEFFERSON WEST MUNICIPAL WATER TANK. THE TANK HAS A CYLINDRICAL BODY WITH A DOME TOP AND HEMISPHERICAL BOTTOM, SUPPORTED BY FIVE TUBULAR LEGS. IT IS PASTEL GREEN IN COLOR AND APPROXIMATELY 90 FEET HIGH. LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST EDGE OF JEFFERSON, ABOUT 0.7 MILE NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF TOWN, AND ABOUT 150 FEET SOUTH OF A PAVED STREET.
