Geschiedenis
Van oorsprong twaalfde-eeuws; romaanse toren. Eén der oudste kerken van de Liemers. Uitbreiding in neogotische stijl 1910-'11 door J.Th.J. Cuypers en J. Stuyt.
De H. Remigiuskerk staat in het centrum van het dorp aan het Remigiusplein. In 838 wordt in een ruilakte voor het eerst de kerk in Duiven genoemd. In 1131 wordt de kerk tot een zelfstandige parochiekerk verheven; daarvóór behoorden de parochianen tot de parochie in Groessen. Omstreeks het midden van de 15de eeuw is de nog Romaanse kerk uitgebreid met een koor en circa 50 jaar later is er een gotisch middenschip tussen toren en koor gebouwd: hierbij is de toren ook een geleding hoger opgetrokken.
In 1910 kreeg de kerk zijn huidige vorm door een verbouwing, die een jaar heeft geduurd, waarna de toren en het oude schip in 1919 zijn gerestaureerd. In 1973 is het interieur van de kerk aangepast en vernieuwd. In de jaren 1990 was de kerk aan een grondige restauratie toe. Uiteindelijk is de eerste fase daarvan uitgevoerd in 1999 en 2000, waarbij het accent op het geheel water- en winddicht maken van de kerk is gelegen. Ook is een groot deel van de glas-in-loodramen gerestaureerd.
In de jaren 2003 en 2004 is een omvangrijk herinrichtingsplan uitgevoerd. Tevens zijn de resterende glas-in-loodramen, de kruiswegstaties, de beelden en alle aanwezige muur- en plafondschilderingen gerestaureerd. De meest opvallende zaken bij deze herinrichting zijn de uitbreiding van het liturgisch centrum, het aanbrengen van een nieuwe midden-entree, het voorzien in een devotiekapel, verder het vernieuwen van het totale binnenschilderwerk en het vernieuwen van de gehele elektrische installatie.

2022 - Op basis van de voortgaande krimp in alle kerkelijke aangelegenheden, de feiten, waaruit blijkt dat de afgelopen vijf jaar de deelname aan kerkelijke activiteiten soms met meer dan de helft is afgenomen en de verwachtingen dat de motivatie van kerkbetrokken vrijwilligers hierdoor ook zal afnemen, heeft het parochiebestuur besloten de Martinuskerk in Doesburg, de Remigiuskerk in Duiven en de Maria Onbevlekt Ontvangenkerk in Lobith te sluiten. Daardoor zal de Andreaskerk in Zevenaar over enkele jaren de enige kerk zijn in Parochie Sint Willibrordus.
2022 - De rooms katholieke Remigiuskerk in Duiven, onderdeel van de St. Willibrordusparochie, zal in 2023 worden gesloten voor de eredienst.
2022 - De parochie Heilige Thomas, een parochie bestaande uit voornamelijk Irakese vluchtelingen, heeft interesse getoond in de koop van de kerk. Het parochiebestuur spreekt de voorkeur uit voor verkoop aan deze partij uit boven een commerciële partij.

R.K. Kerk (H. Remigius). Laatgotische dorpskerk, waarvan in de oude toestand bewaard de 12e eeuwse toren met in romaniserende vormen ca. 1500 uitgevoerde klokkenverdieping en hoge spits, alsmede het in Nederrijns-laatgotische trant opgetrokken pseudobasilicale schip. Natuurstenen zuilen, kruisribgewelven op fraai gebeeldhouwde kraagstenen. Het koor is in 1910 door een groter neogotisch presbyterium vervangen. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, later voorzien van electrische opwinding.

Woensdagavond is het nieuwe orgel te Duiven in gebruik genomen. Nadat de WelEerw. heer Braam, oud-kapelaan, in een treffende predikatie het orgel verwelkomd, als de trouwe gezel bjj de vervulling van ’s menschen levenstaak, de verheerlijking van den Schepper, is het door den HoogEerw. heer Deken Reuvekamp, van Didam, gewijd, waarna het zijn eerste tonen in dienst van God en de Kerk mocht doen hooren, tijdens een Lof met assistentie, gecelebreerd door den HoogEerw. Deken.
Na het Lof werd het orgel afwisselend bespeeld door den organist den heer Bakker (laureaat van de Utrechtsche school) en kapelaan Bach van Zevenaar, die in een reeks werken van oude en nieuwere meesters, zeer lofwaardig vertolkt, de schitterende kwaliteiten en registratiemogelijkheden demonstreerden.

De moderne gemakken zijn aanwezig in den vorm van: electrische windmachine, vaste.kombinaties (pp, p, mf, f, A), twee vrije kombinaties, generaal-crescendo (evenals de zwelkast met de hand èn de voet te bedienen), tongwerken uitschakelaar, automatische pedaalomschakelaar (waarbij in 't pedaal één toegevoegd register) en transpositeur.
De orgelbouwer, de heer J.J. Elbertse, te Soestdijk, heeft hierbij wéér een werk geleverd dat in alle opzichten aan zijn bestemming beantwoordt. Hij werd terecht apart bedankt in het slotwoord, dat pastoor van Schaik aan het eind van de bespeling sprak. Ook dit monument is een waardige reden van voldoening voor pastoor van Schaik, die reeds zoovele werken van eerste-rangs-kunstenaar in zijn kerk deed plaatsen, geholpen door den godvruchtigen offerzin ven Duivens parochianen."

The H. Remigius Church is located in the center of the village on Remigiusplein. In 838 the church in Duiven is mentioned for the first time in an exchange deed. In 1131 the church was elevated to an independent parish church; Before that, the parishioners belonged to the parish in Groessen. Around the middle of the 15th century, the Romanesque church was expanded with a choir and about 50 years later a Gothic nave was built between the tower and choir: the tower was also raised one section higher.
In 1910, the church took its current form through a renovation that lasted a year, after which the tower and the old nave were restored in 1919. In 1973, the interior of the church was adapted and renovated. In the 1990s the church was in need of a thorough restoration. Ultimately, the first phase was carried out in 1999 and 2000, with the emphasis on making the church completely waterproof and windproof. A large number of the stained glass windows have also been restored.
An extensive redevelopment plan was carried out in 2003 and 2004. The remaining stained glass windows, the Stations of the Cross, the statues and all wall and ceiling paintings have also been restored. The most striking aspects of this redesign are the expansion of the liturgical center, the installation of a new central entrance, the provision of a devotional chapel, the renewal of the entire interior painting and the renewal of the entire electrical installation.

2022 - Based on the ongoing decline in all church affairs, the facts, which show that over the past five years, participation in church activities has sometimes decreased by more than half and the expectations that the motivation of church-involved volunteers will also decrease as a result, the parish council has decided to close the Martinus Church in Doesburg, the Remigius Church in Duiven and the Maria Immaculate Conception Church in Lobith. As a result, in a few years the Andreas Church in Zevenaar will be the only church in the Parish of Sint Willibrordus.

R.K. Church (St. Remigius). Late Gothic village church, of which the 12th century tower with bell floor and high spire in Romanizing forms, designed around 1500, has been preserved in its original state, as well as the pseudo-basilical nave built in Lower Rhine Late Gothic style. Natural stone columns, ribbed vaults on beautifully sculpted corbels. The choir was replaced in 1910 by a larger neo-Gothic presbytery. Mechanical tower clock, later equipped with electric winding.

The new organ in Duiven was put into use on Wednesday evening. After the Rev. Mr Braam, former chaplain, welcomed the organ in a moving sermon, as the faithful companion in the fulfillment of man's life task, the glorification of the Creator, it was announced by the Right Rev. Mr Deken Reuvekamp, from Didam, was consecrated, after which it was allowed to sound its first notes in the service of God and the Church, during a Praise with assistance, celebrated by the High Rev. Blanket.
After the Praise, the organ was played alternately by the organist Mr. Bakker (laureate of the Utrecht school) and chaplain Bach van Zevenaar, who demonstrated the wonderful qualities and registration possibilities in a series of works by old and newer masters, performed very commendably.
