La source de la Loue

Credits

The source of the Loue

Gushing out of a vast 60-metre-wide, 30-metre-high cave in an impressive rocky cirque at the foot of a 104-metre-high cliff, it offers a dazzling spectacle.

This resurgence of the Doubs river is also fed by rainfall infiltration from the plateau. Its flow is therefore never very low, and you can always be sure of seeing a beautiful waterfall.

It's easy to discover on foot, as a tarmac path leads from the parking lot to the spring in just a few minutes.

The site is equipped with a promontory and benches for visitors to enjoy the spectacle. Numerous educational panels provide a better understanding of this natural setting.
