"The Romanesque building consisted of a small nave, with a smooth semicircular apse to the east. This one has a fairly off-centre window, currently blinded. The apse is covered with a quarter-sphere vault and opens directly onto the nave. This was covered with a barrel vault, but is currently collapsed. The building was covered with mortar, but in some places it has detached and you can distinguish an apparatus made of stone blocks of unequal sizes placed in courses.

It was built on an ancient Roman villa dating from the 1st century to the 4th century AD. According to the book of Navarcles de Fortià Solà, we have no information about the time in which the chapel was founded. But the first data that allows us to place it in time are some coins from the time of James I (13th century) that were found at the base of the apse."
