The borough of Birdsboro, PA has water supplied by two reservoirs in the "Birdsboro Waters" natural area: Stinson Run Reservoir and the Indian Run Reservoir (also called the Birdsboro Reservoir). This pumphouse was constructed in 1916 to pump water from the Hay Creek up to the Indian Creek Reservoir, whose dam is located 0.5 miles up the valley of Indian Run. According to an old inspection report, the pipe diameter from the pumphouse to the reservoir is 12 inches.
The building itself is pretty ordinary in appearance, with the dated cornerstone and some stair to enter an upper level and a bilco to enter the lower level (where the pumps probably are). As this area is pretty remote, there is not much in the way of graffiti shenanigans.
