Es una de las casas más grandes de toda la ciudad con más de 60 habitaciones, y ocupa una superficie de 3000 m2. Se desarrolla escénicamente con una serie de terrazas en dos niveles que aprovecharon la pendiente natural del terreno, ofreciendo a los huéspedes que ingresan al panorama del valle de Sarno.

Tiene una rica decoración del suelo con mosaicos blancos y negros con motivos de laberintos y dameros. La casa surge de la unión de dos viviendas atrios preexistentes, y muestra la distribución típica de la casa romana: un gran atrio seguido del tablinum, que daba acceso al pórtico y al gran peristilo. La construcción del peristilo supuso una mayor ampliación del tamaño de la casa, que alcanzó así la zona del Foro.

El aspecto visible hoy es el resultado de las restauraciones tras el terremoto del 62 d.C., cuando se reconstruyó la fachada. La casa fue objeto de impresionantes trabajos de consolidación y restauración tanto de las estructuras como de los dispositivos decorativos completados en 2016, que devolvieron la casa al visitante en su esplendor.

It is one of the largest houses in the entire city with more than 60 rooms, and occupies an area of ??3000 m2. It is scenically developed with a series of terraces on two levels that took advantage of the natural slope of the land, offering guests who enter the panorama of the Sarno Valley.

The house arises from the union of two pre-existing atrium homes, and shows the typical distribution of the Roman house: a large atrium followed by the tablinum, which gave access to the porch and the large peristyle. The construction of the peristyle meant a further expansion of the size of the house, which thus reached the Forum area.

The appearance visible today is the result of restorations after the earthquake of 62 AD, when the façade was rebuilt. The house was the subject of impressive consolidation and restoration works of both the structures and the decorative devices completed in 2016, which returned the house to the visitor in its splendor.
