Reference mark 2 for destroyed USGS benchmark ACORN (NS0234), located very near the top of a hill on the Continental Divide.

To reach the summit of the hill that the reference mark is set near, I recommend parking anywhere along the hill's southwestern flank along the side of the Lander Cutoff Road. Hike over the sage-covered and rocky slopes to reach the top of the hill and find the remnants of USGS benchmark ACORN near the top (only the pin and some concrete remain). Reference mark 2 is located about 65 feet to the east of the destroyed benchmark and is set in the top of a rock outcrop.
