Construido hacia 1752 constituye uno de los edificios civiles más antiguos de la localidad. Sirvió de Ayuntamiento y cárcel municipal y originariamente tenía entrada por la calle Padre Revuelto hasta que en 1939 se abrió la entrada actual a la Plaza de la Constitución.
En 1873 se instaló el reloj en la parte superior, del que aun se conserva la esfera y el remate de la campana. El mecanismo se puede contemplar en la Colección etnológica de Ángel Estévez. Actualmente el edificio alberga la Biblioteca Municipal Manuel Campanero Camacho, padre de Rafael Campanero Guzmán, presidente de honor del Córdoba Club de Fútbol.


Built around 1752, it is one of the oldest civil buildings in the town. It served as the Town Hall and municipal jail and originally had an entrance on Padre Revuelto street until the current entrance to the Plaza de la Constitución was opened in 1939.
In 1873 the clock was installed in the upper part, of which the sphere and the top of the bell are still preserved. The mechanism can be seen in the Ángel Estévez Ethnological Collection. The building currently houses the Manuel Campanero Camacho Municipal Library, father of Rafael Campanero Guzmán, honorary president of the Córdoba Football Club.
