EN: This cross is located on the Rue de Dieffenthal in the south of Dambach-la-Ville near a residential house.

The stone cross is about two meters high and contains a lifelike painted figure of Jesus about half life size.

The base is exceptional. It is at least two meters high, about the same height as the cross itself. At the bottom is an illegible inscription. Above it there are reliefs with images of saints. At the top is a dome patterned with irregular polyhedrons on which a skull, and behind it the cross are attached. I could not determine a date. It was probably part of the weathered inscription.

FR: Cette croix se trouve dans la rue de Dieffenthal, au sud de Dambach-la-Ville, près d'une maison d'habitation.

La croix en pierre mesure environ deux mètres de haut et contient une figure de Jésus peinte de manière réaliste, environ deux fois plus petite que nature.

Le socle est exceptionnel. Il mesure au moins deux mètres de haut, soit à peu près la hauteur de la croix elle-même. En bas se trouve une inscription illisible. Au-dessus se trouvent des reliefs avec des images de saints. Tout en haut se trouve une coupole ornée de polyèdres irréguliers sur laquelle sont fixés un crâne et, derrière lui, la croix. Je n'ai pas pu établir de datation. Elle faisait probablement partie de l'inscription érodée par les intempéries.

Das Steinkreuz ist rund zwei Meter hoch und enthält eine lebensecht bemalte Jesusfigur in etwa halber Lebensgrösse.

Der Sockel ist aussergewöhnlich. Er ist midestens zwei Meter hoch, also etwa so hoch wie das Kreuz selbst. Zuunterst ist ein nicht lesbare Inschrift. Darüber befinden sich Reliefs mit Heiligenbildern. Zuoberst ist eine mit unregelmässigen Polyedern gemusterte Kuppel auf der ein Schädel und dahinter das Kreuz befestigt sind. Eine Datierung konnte ich nicht feststellen. Sie war vermutlich Bestandteil der verwitterten Inschrift.
