EN: This cross stands a few meters from the entrance to the church of Saint-Étienne in the old town of Dambach-la-Ville.
The cross and the figure of Jesus are made of stone. Including the pedestal, it is about five meters high.
It has some faded inscriptions in the base, but I could only decipher a few little things, such as that the cross was donated by a couple.
FR: Cette croix se trouve à quelques mètres de l'entrée de l'église Saint-Étienne dans la vieille ville de Dambach-la-Ville.
La croix et la statue de Jésus sont en pierre. Avec son socle, elle mesure environ cinq mètres de haut.
Le socle comporte quelques inscriptions effacées, mais je n'ai pu déchiffrer que quelques détails, comme le fait que la croix a été offerte par un couple.
DE: Dieses Kreuz steht ein paar Meter neben dem Eingang zur Kirche Saint-Étienne in der Altstadt von Dambach-la-Ville.
Das Kreuz und die Jesusfigur sind aus Stein. Mitsamt dem Sockel ist es rund fünf Meter hoch.
Im Sockel hat es einige verblasste Inschriften, aber ich konnte nur einige Kleinigkeiten entziffern, etwa dass das Kreuz von einem Ehepaar gestiftet wurde.
