The President of the Republic inaugurated this Monday, March 28, the new Riu Baobab hotel in the new seaside resort of Pointe-Sarène, located in the department of Mbour (west).
The Riu Baobab hotel, costing 66 billion CFA francs, is made up of 522 rooms that can accommodate at least 800 people. It is located almost 60 kilometers from Blaise-Diagne International Airport,
A 14-kilometre ramp linking the Riu Baobab hotel to national road number 1, near the village of Keur Balla Lô, will be open to traffic.
According to the Spanish hotel chain Riu Hotels & Resorts, its owner, the hotel will generate some 500 direct jobs and a thousand indirect jobs.
