The original description from 1934 (located after discovering the mark):
106 (Ky. Geod. S.) (Fayette County, D. V. Terrell, 1934).--Approximately 6.2 miles east of Lexington, on Athens-Boonesboro Road, 350 feet north of intersection of Athens-Boonesboro Road with Richmond Road, 175 feet north of west entrance gate to Walnut Hill schoolgrounds, and 1 foot west of east right-of-way line. Station is a U.S.C.& G.S. and State Survey standard disk in concrete.
Elevation; 1,047.421 feet.
Plane coordinates: (S), x = 2,382,086.23 feet; y = 602,627.69 feet.
