"Fue construida en el siglo XVI. Se alzó un nuevo templo entre 1804 y 1810 dirigido por Pascual Ribera de orden jónico, con claustro, crucero, cúpula y seis capillas laterales (una de ellas reservada exclusivamente para la veneración del sepulcro de la Beata Inés de Benigànim, que vivió en este convento, en donde murió a los 71 años de edad); dicha capilla simula un panteón renacentista, está realizado en mármoles de Carrara y Macael, los cuales custodian el sepulcro de bronce dorado y combados cristales donde reposa su reliquia.
También es un monasterio de clausura donde viven la comunidad de la orden de las Agustinas Descalzas, fundado el año 1611, lugar donde vivió la Beata Inés y donde se veneran sus restos."
