This statue is on the esplanade of the Hotel Casona de Sanabria, on the Mozarabic Way of St. James.
It is made of granite.
It shows a pilgrim with his typical attire on a scallop shell (symbol of the hats next to the cross of Santiago, or the one they wear around their necks to drink) and from that scallop come out two handles and three legs like the Galician "pote".
It has an inscription that says:
ES"Homenaje a la gastronomía En el Camino de Santiago. Xacobeo 2010"
EN: "Homage to the gastronomy on the Camino de Santiago. Xacobeo 2010"
