[PL] Zespól klasztorny opactwa cysterskiego w Sulejowie, znajdujacy sie w Podklasztorzu, to jedno z najlepiej zachowanych zabytków cysterskich w Polsce. Wpisany na liste Pomników historii w 2012 roku, sklada sie m.in. z kosciola sw. Tomasza Kantuaryjskiego. Jako zakonczenie budowy przyjmowana jest data konsekracji kosciola - rok 1232. Jest to trzynawowa bazylika z transeptem, wybudowana z piaskowca szydlowieckiego i cegiel. Portal zachodni zdobi tympanon ze scena smierci Chrystusa, natomiast portal poludniowy jest póznoromanski. Wnetrze kosciola laczy style romanski i gotycki, a zachowalo sie piec barokowych oltarzy i rokokowy oltarz glówny z obrazem Wniebowziecia Matki Boskiej. Kaplica poludniowa miesci romanska piscine, a kaplica pólnocna zawiera wczesnobarokowy oltarz i krypte grobowa fundatora.

[ENG] The Cistercian Abbey Complex in Sulejów, located in Podklasztorze, is one of the best-preserved Cistercian monuments in Poland. Inscribed on the List of Historic Monuments in 2012, it includes the Church of St. Thomas à Becket. The completion of the construction is believed to be marked by the consecration of the church in the year 1232. It is a three-aisled basilica with a transept, built of Szydlowiec sandstone and bricks. The western portal is adorned with a tympanum depicting the death of Christ, while the southern portal features late Romanesque elements. The interior of the church combines Romanesque and Gothic styles and houses five Baroque altars and a Rococo main altar with the Assumption of the Virgin Mary painting. The southern chapel houses a Romanesque piscina, while the northern chapel contains an early Baroque altar and the founder's tomb crypt.
