" La Avenida Constitución, más conocida por los jijonencos como «La Plaça», alberga algunos de los edificios más representativos de la localidad.
Estos singulares edificios datan del S. XX y contrastan con los edificios actuales por sus elaboradas y decoradas fachadas de época modernista que conservan las características originales del estilo en el que fueron construidos.
Si hacemos un pequeño ecorrido por la Avenida Constitución de Sur a Norte, el primer edificio que encontramos en El Ayuntamiento.Unos pasos más arriba, por la acera de enfrente, encontramos la sede de la Sociedad Cultural El Casino. otro edificio llamará nuestra atención. Se trata de la casa de Primitivo Rovira. Si estamos en la campaña del turrón, el dulce olor que sale del mismo nos delatará a que se destina este edificio, sino es así la placa de su fachada nos lo indicará.
Unos metros más al norte, nos encontramos con la Sociedad Cultural El Trabajo. Su fachada no destaca mucho a la vista, pero el patio interior, conocido como el huerto del Trabajo, nos da un color verde entre tanto edificio, antiguamente este huerto alcanzaba hasta el Convento de los Franciscanos.
En 1920 poseía la única biblioteca del municipio y a día de hoy, cuenta con más de 8000 ejemplares. También en la primera planta se encuantra una sala polivalente que se usa como salón de actos, sala de exposiciones, conferencias o actuaciones musicales y teatrales.Para terminar este paseo tan peculiar, hemos dejado para el final el edificio que más destaca de la Avenida, la Casa Monerris Planelles.Obra del arquitecto Francisco Mora Berenguer, de ascendencia jijonenca y famoso en Valencia por sus construcciones como El Palacio Municipal de la Exposición Valenciana, El Asilo San Juan de Dios, o El Mercado de Colón.
El edificio ocupa casi una manzana de casas y destaca su torre cilíndrica en la esquina, aunque llamará nuestra atención la decoración floral de la fachada, y sobre todo, el friso del edificio con dibujos de grifos y guirnaldas creados con azulejos".

"Avenida Constitución, better known by the locals as «La Plaça», houses some of the most representative buildings of the town.

If we take a short tour of Avenida Constitución from South to North, we find the first building we find in El Ayuntamiento. To end this peculiar walk, we have left the most outstanding building on the Avenue for last, the Casa Monerris Planelles. The work of the architect Francisco Mora Berenguer, of Jijon descent and famous in Valencia for his buildings such as the Municipal Palace of the Valencian Exhibition, the San Juan de Dios Asylum, or the Mercado de Colón.
The building occupies almost a block of houses and its cylindrical tower on the corner stands out, although the floral decoration of the façade will call our attention, and above all, the frieze of the building with drawings of griffins and garlands created with tiles".
