Church clock on the tower of All Saints' church, Loughborough.
The clock has a cast iron black face, with faded gilded hands and roman numerals.
The church dates from the 14th century, and the tower from the 15th. Located on a slight rise within the old town which is probably the site of a pre-Christian place of worship. All Saints is one of the largest parish churches in England, which is an indication of the importance of Loughborough in the mediaeval wool trade.
The church underwent a major refurbishment under the direction of Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1859 - 1862, and the clock possibly dates from that time.
