Just entering the church and the first thing that strongly catches our attention are the stained glass windows in front, on the main altar, if we are lucky and it is a sunny day, the beauty of the light entering through the stained glass windows is impressive. If we look at the stained glass, we will see in the upper part the Holy Trinity (the father, the son and the holy spirit), and then the images of six saints, where we can distinguish the first two, San Francisco and San Benito.

"The Church of the Holy Trinity (Santa Trinità) of Florence is located in the center of the city. It is the mother church of the Vallombrosa Order of monks, founded in 1092 by a Florentine nobleman. Nearby is the famous Ponte Santa Trinità on the Arno river. The church is famous for its Sassetti Chapel, which contains outstanding frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio, which are considered his best work and are among the masterpieces of 15th-century painting.

The current church was built on top of a previous church from the 11th century, in 1258–1280. Subsequently it has undergone several reconstructions. The Mannerist façade (1593–1594) was designed by Bernardo Buontalenti. The relief above the central door of the Trinity was sculpted by Pietro Bernini and Caccini. The 17th century wooden doors were carved to remember the saints of the Vallumbrosan order. The Column of Justice in the outer square comes from the Baths of Caracalla, and was a gift to Cosimo I de' Medici from Pope Pius IV. It was used in 1565 to commemorate the Battle of Montemurlo."
