NGS Reference Mark Round No 3, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This reference mark is located at the summit of Round Butte, about 6 miles WSW of Madras, Oregon. The cap is cemented to a 2 by 3 rock inside the summit loop road. The triangulation station Round (it was not found on this visit) was set in 1946 with two reference marks (No 1, No 2). Three additional reference marks were added in 1973 (No 3, No 4, No 5) to replace the original two which were destroyed by road construction. NGS PID - (visit link)
