The church is originally a Romanesque building that has been rebuilt over the centuries. At the end of the 12th century, the oldest parts were built, a short nave with lower and narrower choirs and possibly an apse. South and north portals were in the nave. The facades were unplastered. During the 13th century, the church was built with a low square
tower in the west. In the 15th century, the tower was raised and provided with stair gables with blinds. Around 1500, the eastern parts were demolished and the church was built to the east and vaults were built in this part. An armory outside the south portal was probably built during this time.
In 1780, F Wachtmeister came to Knutstorp, became the church's patronus and had a cross arm, the so-called new church, built to the north.
- Inside the church, there are seats to accommodate (no info) people.
- The pulpit is made of wood in 1696.
- The baptismal font is made of limestone and is from the 11th century.
- There are 2 bells in the tower, The large bell was cast in 1851 by C.A. Norling in Jönköping. The clock includes ore from an older clock from the 14th century cast by Andreas.
The small bell was cast in 1558 by Lauris Madsen in Copenhagen.
- The organ with 18 steams was built-in 1980 by Anders Persson in Viken.
