From the junction of US 30 and an unnamed dirt road at N41 48.895 W110 44.605, drive southwest on the unnamed dirt road for about 1.57 miles (N41 48.365 W110 46.160). From here, walk for about 0.1 miles at a bearing of roughly 298.5 degrees. The section corner is located about 30 feet to the southeast of the channel of a seasonal stream; it is a 1908 GLO brass cap on an iron pipe.

Several rocks have been scattered down the small hillslope leading to the stream channel to the northwest, which may have once made up the rock pile near the marker. Otherwise, there are no notable identifiers for the marker's location.
