"The Couronné d'Yutz gate, known as the Sarrelouis gate, is a remnant of a fortification located in the municipal territory of Thionville, in the Moselle department.

From 1744, Louis de Cormontaigne, appointed director of the fortifications of Metz, Thionville and Bitche, began the construction of the crowned Yutz and its gate, also called the Saarlouis gate."
