A short (quarter-mile) trail takes visitors from the parking area across the creek to the old Iron Springs spring box, constructed by the CCC in the mid-1930s. This large wooden footbridge is the largest of several footbridges along this trail. From the top of the bridge you have a fine view of the creek and the CCC rock dam to the east.
