Urban contemporary artist Mad C (Born: Claudia Walde, Germany) painted the control tower at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic. Realized in 2021, it was the first project of its type in Latin America. A floor-to-ceiling wall display at PUJ Terminal A has two large photos accompanying the text:
OUR CONTROL TOWER IS THE FIRST IN LATIN AMERICA TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO PUBLIC ART.

The control tower turns into a landmark, highlighting the cosmopolitan nature of tourism in the area. The artwork embellishes with colors and memorable shapes the welcome of millions of travelers who arrives on Dominican soil, through the Punta Cana International Airport.

Realizado en 2021, fue el primer proyecto de su tipo en América Latina. Una pantalla de pared del piso al techo en PUJ Terminal A tiene dos fotos grandes que acompañan el texto:

NUESTRA TORRE DE CONTROL ES LA PRIMERA EN LATINOAMÉRICA EN SER TRANSFORMADA EN ARTE PÚBLICO.

La torre de control se convierte en un hito, destacando el carácter cosmopolita del turismo en la zona. La obra de arte embellece con colores y formas memorables la bienvenida de millones de viajeros que llegan a suelo dominicano, a través del Aeropuerto Internacional de Punta Cana.

Note: The tower is located about half a mile north from the terminal building. Parked planes along with any other airport vehicle activities may hinder direct views. It may be possible, if you're landing or taking off and happen to be in a window seat that you may get a chance for a photo of the structure.
