EN: "A grandiose flight of steps leads up to this palace, which is now the Living Library of Al-Andalus, and which used to be part of great palace situated in the former Villa (town centre) of Cordoba. The building dates back to the time when King Fernando III divided up the lands after he had expelled the Moslem population. The modern day library aims to illustrate the contribution of classical Andalusi (Arabic-Andalusian) culture to world culture in general. The oldest façade dates back to the 15th century, and is the work of Hernán Ruiz I."
