Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church is located on the corner of Superior Avenue (Route 6) and East 41st Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The parish was founded in May of 1865, and construction on the current church building was begun in 1873. The cornerstone was laid by the Most Reverend Richard Gilmour, Bishop of Cleveland on August 15, 1873. The church was not consecrated until more than 30 years later, on December 10, 1904 by the Most Reverend Ignatius F. Horstmann, Bishop of Cleveland. The stone building stands out on the east side of the city with its two tall towers. The church currently has three Sunday Masses, including a Traditional Latin Mass.
