This replica of the Statue of Liberty is on the northwest corner of the Butler County Courthouse Square in El Dorado. The base of the statue is also accurately depicted. This statue was dedicated on June 14, 1950, by the local Boy Scouts. It was temporarily replaced for restoration, and re-dedicated on June 14, 2004.
NGC 3576 is known as The Statue of Liberty Nebula. As viewed from Earth, the nebula forms an outline of Lady Liberty holding her torch aloft.
