From Waymark WM17X8Y, hike due north for 0.24 miles to reach the sixteenth corner. The marker is about 2 inches to the southwest of a T-post and is set on the eastern slopes of a large scoria ridge. The marker and its witness T-post both display a strong northeastward lean due to the ongoing erosion of the loose badlands material they are set in.

The marker has been mis-stamped by the individual who set it; the section numbers should be reversed so that it reads "S6 S5" instead of "S5 S6."
Type of survey mark: Aluminum cap on steel pipe

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
A T-post is driven into the ground about 2 inches to the northeast of the marker.

What property is this mark defining?:
BLM on all sides
