Das Museum Alexander König ist ein Naturkunde- und Forschungsmuseum in Bonn. Seit 1934 wird hier die naturhistorische Geschichte erforscht und gezeigt. Die Sammlung an Exponaten umfasst riesige Dinosaurier- und Walskelette ebenso wie ausgestopfte Tiere veschiedenster Art. In Dioramen werden sie in ihrer natürlichen Umgebung gezeigt.

Inzwischen ist das Museum Bestandteil des Leibniz-Instituts zur Analyse des Biodiversitätswandels, einer Stiftung des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen. Es steht in der sogenannten "Museumsmeile" entlang der B9 zwischen Bonn-Zentrum und Bad Godesberg.

1912 ließ der Ornithologe Alexander König das Museumsgebäude nach Plänen des Architekten Gustav Holland bauen. Die Fassade beeindruckt durch dicke Säulen, große Fenster, Statuen und Stuckarbeiten, die verschiedene Tiere zeigen. Als Vorbild diente das Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin. Die geplante Eröffnung wurde durch den Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkriegs 1914 verhindert, der Rohbau wurde beschlagnahmt und als Lazarett genutzt. Nach dem Krieg wurde das Museum fertiggestellt und 1934 schließlich eröffnet. Auch während der NS-Zeit wurden Teile des Museums wieder militärisch genutzt. Nach Beendigung des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurden enstandene Schäden aber repariert und das Museum wieder der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
The Museum Alexander König is a natural history and research museum in Bonn. Natural history has been researched and shown here since 1934. The collection of exhibits includes huge dinosaur and whale skeletons as well as stuffed animals of all kinds. They are shown in their natural environment in dioramas.

The museum is now part of the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change, a foundation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is in the so-called "Museum Mile" along the B9 between Bonn-Centre and Bad Godesberg.

In 1912, the ornithologist Alexander König had the museum building built according to plans by the architect Gustav Holland. The facade impresses with thick columns, large windows, statues and stucco work depicting various animals. The Museum of Natural History in Berlin served as a model. The planned opening was prevented by the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, the shell of the building was confiscated and used as a hospital. After the war, the museum was completed and finally opened in 1934. Even during the Nazi era, parts of the museum were once again used for military purposes. After the end of the Second World War, however, the damage was repaired and the museum was made accessible to the public again.
