[FR] Cette porte qui ouvrait sur la "rue royale" (aujourd'hui rue Grande) était constituée de deux tours rondes, encadrant une porte munie d'un pont-levis qui couvrait le fossé séparant la ville forte de son faubourg nord nommé le "faubourg neuf" des le XIIIème siècle. Il n'en subsiste aujourd'hui que la tour ouest intégrée dans l'immeuble. La tour symétrique a été détruite vers 1955 pour aménager un parking.

[EN] This gate, which opened onto the "rue royale" (today's rue Grande), consisted of two round towers, framing a gateway with a drawbridge that covered the ditch separating the fortified town from its northern suburb, called the "faubourg neuf", since the 13th century. Today, only the west tower remains, integrated in the building. The symmetrical tower was destroyed around 1955 to build a parking lot.
