The Villalpando bus station has been the scene of a simulated terrorist attack carried out by the Civil Guard of Zamora.

The objective of this type of simulation is to reflect the events recorded during the development of a terrorist incident, in order to verify the effectiveness of the actions carried out as well as the management of the response of the different units of the Command to a situation of this type, in which the immediate neutralization of a sudden attack may be required.

The second objective is to collect possible improvements and establish the corrective measures that, where appropriate, are applicable for a greater benefit in the development of the action.

The event began this morning at 11.20 a.m. in the Alsa-Exit service area of Villalpando. The warning of a knife attack on several citizens who were in the establishment was simulated. Several service endowments of the Command were transferred to the place and, once the terrorist nature of the incident was verified, the deployment of the rest of the troops of the different units and specialties of the Civil Guard that would act in a real case was carried out.

The purpose of the device is to neutralize the threat, secure the area and evacuate the possible victims and the rest of the users of the establishment.
