[EN] “The tower consists of five bodies separated by slightly overhanging stone imposts, with an octagonal top on which there is an iron structure, which replaces the octagonal spire destroyed by lightning in 1841.

In the center of the body of bells is the great bell "Santa Bárbara", cast in 1588 and popularly known as the "María bell"; On the eastern wall there are two turning corners from 1641 and 1836, both dedicated to San Antolín.

Of the many bell tolls made at the time when the temple was a Collegiate Church, some have survived, such as the one that can be heard daily shortly before nine in the morning known as "ringing of the cymbal"; It was instituted in memory of those who died in the collapse of the vaults of the Augustinian temple of Ntra. Sra. de Gracia on April 13, 1629.

It has an exceptional set of bells. One of the quarter bells is Gothic, from the 15th century, and there are three bells from the 16th century: The hour bell (1561) and the great "Santa Bárbara" bell (1588). There are two bells from the 17th century, the small one with quarters and an esquilon dedicated to San Antolín (1641). There are two more bells from the 19th century, and from the 21st century there are two more, cast by RIVERA (Montermoso, Cáceres) and the latter equipped with a modern wooden yoke and turning system.

The tower is accessible inside, and during the visit you can see the different interior rooms of the tower. Access is offered from the Medina del Campo Tourist Office, located in the Plaza Mayor of the same, on the ground floor of the Town Hall, so you must make an appointment.”
