The Church of Santiago Apóstol, sometimes called Santiago de los Caballeros, in Medina de Rioseco (Valladolid, Castilla y León, Spain), is a large-scale Catholic church built between the 16th and 17th centuries in an unusual amalgamation of styles, combining a very late Gothic with the Plateresque, Classicist and Herrerian renaissances, present in the exterior fabric and the interior elevation, and the Baroque, which characterizes the vaulted roofs and the monumental Main Altarpiece. Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), it has been a National Historic-Artistic Monument since 1964.

Its construction began in 1533, in the middle of the Plateresque period, in the late Gothic style by the distinguished architect Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón, in his youth, which would be followed by the stage of maturity in which he would design all his buildings in Renaissance style. At the death of the master in 1577 the temple was unfinished, lacking to erect the closing by the feet. It was then that Alonso de Tolosa, an architect who followed the Herrerian Renaissance style, who was working at the Valladolid Cathedral at the time, and who designed the layouts for the main west façade, became involved in the works. Juan de Hermosa, a man he trusted, and a long and extensive work in Medina de Rioseco, was in charge of its execution.
